BIGGBY COFFEE - Davison

Well I made it to Davison and I love the location! I ran into the crew building-out the store...they were a little apprehensive at first (I never introduced myself), but they caught on and figured out I wasn't from OSHA (although they shoulda' been wearing saftey goggles even though they make you look funny)..... we talked for a while after filming and had a good laugh. BTW I am definately taking the car back to the dealer...something is not right about it...I can't even hear the radio, ya'know?

I think you should really try to get to the Kenosha store before June 20th, as that will be Jen's last day before they pack their bags and head up to FonduLac, WI.
We will all miss her dearly. She is the main reason for the great sevice, coffee and relaxed atmosphere at this location. We know it will be a change when the new manager takes over, but we're hoping she'll have the same great pesonality and will do just as well. Hope to see you there before she leaves. It was always a wish of hers for you to come and see the store. Now's your chance....that's June 20th!!!!!
Hope to see you there and be able to return the favor and buy you a cup. See you soon.(That's a week from next Friday) We're counting on you, please don't let us down.

Hi, I'm a Biggby Costumer. I saw a link to this off of the Biggby website. I have some suggestions for the East Lansing Area.

Firstly, everyone loves to go to the 24 hour Beaners to study and have some coffee and snacks but there's hardly any room! I can't tell you how many times I've gone with a group and left because there was no room!

Secondly, themed events involving food are a big event around MSU campus, as well as are the TV shows "The Office" "Greys Anatomy" "Lost" and "House" ... so if you had like a Large TV that played those shows every week when the new episodes come on and you advertised it well, especially on campus and especially if you offered some special people would LOVE it. I also don't think the TV should be on all the time, but to show a movie here or there (for free) and for showing new episodes of popular TV shows.

Thirdly, Facebook is HUGE for college students, as well as coffee. I don't know how you could make an application that perhaps a person could win a coffee someway, or buy another person a coffee via Facebook, but I know if used right Facebook could be a great advertisement tool. You could make an event and invite thousands of MSU students to your showing of "The Office".

Lastly: grades. I think students would really appreciate it if they got a free coffee for getting a 4.0 or something, especially after all those nights spent studying while sipping on a great coffee!

I can't wait for this store to open! The location looks great and easy enough to get to - I won't be video taping so it should be easy!

Best of luck John and Tracey - see you soon!

the ideas about the east lansing stores are some really great ideas

the stores are not owned by the corporation though so the suggestions you made might not make it to the owner at all.

Also the Televisions bring some interesting copy right issues along with them. I'm not sure how many things could be broadcast. I'm sure television shows are ok, however I'm not so sure on the movie part.

The comment on the size of the stores suggests that maybe they should expand or perhaps put another 24 hours store...

I'm not so sure about the business of the store between the hours of 12am and 6am, but more room in that store would be great. Poeple end up going accross the street to the other coffee shop because there really isn't another Biggby on campus that can house many students who are there to study for long periods. All of these decision are between the own and corporate and wouldn't be anything that could happen in the blink of an eye.

I think the ideas you put out would be fantastic to drive people into the store, however as of now that store doesn't need more people. Like you said...you can't even get a seat most of the time.

BIGGBY ROCKS!

ok i can't wait to get this in town. (I live in Davison). You guys are great and you have more than just 20 belows (hot chocolate that cold and the top drink around here) and second i think you are the best now because you actually can pronounce the name of our town. Most just say david-son and we hate that, but you pronounced it right. kudos. can't wait for you to open!
