Northern Exposure XV...15th Annual Upper Peninsula-wide juried arts competition
I would like to invite everyone to “Northern Exposure XV” or “15” if you prefer. This is an annual art competition held at The William Bonifas Fine Arts Center, 700 1st Avenue South. Escanaba, Michigan 49829. Phone: (906)-786-3833.
There will be an opening reception on November 6th 2008 from 7-9pm with the awards to be presented at 8pm. After the awards are presented there will be music provided by Augie & Al. And also there will be Morning Coffee at the Bonifas the following morning, Friday, November 7th from 8:30-10am sponsored by Biggby Coffee with a “Printmaking for Painters” Workshop: Facilitated by visiting artist and guest juror, Mike Volker.
I have included a photo of one of the three pieces of mine that were juried into the show. “The loneliness & waiting…For Leyr” (pictured), 24” x 36”, price: $1800.00 along with “From the shadows…can you hear it?”, 24” x 36”, price:$1500.00 along with “The Sentinel (A class study)”, 11” x 14”, price $250.00. So say a prayer that I may win an award…and it wouldn’t hurt to sell something too so keep that in mind! Lol!
I have been swamped as of late trying to get works ready for this but next week I’ll begin new study lessons and my apologies for the “break”. Hope to see you all there at the show!
