Abbey...I'll be there (South Carolina) before ya' know it....I will be to all stores before the end of the year. Nigel I'm glad you have your own blog.... :)
it's cute, but it looks more like cappuccino art from here
that's an industry wide mistake, even at BIGGBYs...overstretched lattes...
I know the names of a couple good consultants who train people to consistently pour rosettas and hearts while maintaining correct ratios in the drinks if you are interested.
Would that not serve to bolster this 'BIGGBY' spirit even more?
Dear "Anonymous", Hey now,,I'm just enjoying trying out new things!! I did not say i served this latte, i only serve the ones that come out properly. This one ended up with too much foam, but i thought it was cute. I've only been a Barista For the past year or so, and I'm still learning. Being a Biggby Barista is by far, the most awesome job I've ever had, and we HAVE FUN! I don't take our commitment to send out consistent, high quality drinks lightly. Thats most important. But the Biggby way is about not talking your self too seriously and making sure the customer has an awesome experience while enjoying our Luscious coffee.(and we just get to have fun along the way!) For me..Thats it in a nutshell ;)
Who is interested in a barista jam / throwdown ? I am thinking live music, food, and an SCAA style barista competition with independent judges. http://www.worldbaristachampionship.com/everythingyouneed.htm
If you guys have the best coffee in the world ,I would love the chance to go head to head in a little friendly competition and let you guys prove it.
CEO and Co-Founder of BIGGBY COFFEE.
Our first cafe began in March of 1995, and we began franchising in 1999. We now have over 157 cafes located in 9 states. We are a 100% franchised system....meaning local ownership.
I am spending much of the year on the road visiting our cafe owners, employees and customers....these are the chronicles of my visits.
